Rustic Bach - a genuine rustic Kiwi Bach down right-of-way, one minute from Lake Maraetai in the small rural Mangakino township.

The Rustic Bach is situated in the heart of New Zealand's North Island, and area called Mangakino. 'Mango' is New Zealand the way it used to be. A small local shopping area will meet your everyday needs and you are half an hour from Rotorua, Taupo and Tokoroa.

For visitors unfamiliar with Kiwi slang, 'BACH' is a North Island Kiwi term for 'small rustic cottage' or 'holiday home'. Down in the South Island, the locals refer to a 'bach' as a 'crib'. 'Kiwi', incidentally, apart from being the name of the native flightless bird and national icon, is a slang term for 'New Zealander'.
